  • 10. How is consent handled during the session?

All work can be done without physical touch if preferred. I always ask for consent before placing my hand on certain areas of your body and avoid erogenous areas or private parts. I check in beforehand to see if there are any areas you do not want touched. At any point during the session, if you feel uncomfortable, you can ask me to work over the body instead.

  • 11. What is the environment like during the session?

The work is very intimate and grounding. You will lay on the floor, and I sit next to you, often holding your hand. The connection to the Earth is important. I use various sensory elements such as essential oils, crystals, smoke, incense, music, drumming, singing, rattling, and playing the harmonica, creating a multi-sensory experience.

  • 12. Is talking and sharing required during the session?

Talking and sharing are optional. We begin each session by sharing a cup of tea, during which you can share what’s going on for you and what you’d like to work on, if you choose. It is not necessary to share, as the work is energetic and spiritual, and I can see what needs to be worked on once you give me permission to open the energy field.

  • 13. What happens after the session?

After the session, you will rest for about five minutes in a final resting pose. I will leave the room and return with light snacks and tea. I will write down any notes and provide homework for your personal integration. This includes a follow-up email with a personalized integration guide. Sharing about your experience is optional.

  • 14. How will I feel afterwards?

It’s recommended to clear your schedule for the rest of the day, drink plenty of water, and nourish yourself well. If possible, take a walk in nature. It’s normal to feel a range of emotions and physical sensations as your body and energy integrate the work done during the session.

  • 15. What is the difference between Shamanic Energy Medicine and other forms of energy healing?

Shamanic energy medicine involves working with spirit guides, power animals, and the natural elements, whereas other forms like Reiki focus on channeling universal life force energy. Shamanic practices often involve journeying and ritual to access and restore balance in the energy field, and can be more hands-on and in-depth.

  • 17. How is Shamanic Energy Medicine different from Reiki?

While I am a trained Reiki practitioner, shamanic energy medicine involves additional elements such as spirit world communication and multi-sensory experiences. It is more hands-on and in-depth, offering a more profound and deep level of healing compared to traditional Reiki sessions.

  • 18. What if I become emotional or need to pause the session?

It’s normal to cry, scream, yell, laugh, sing, shout, or even fart during the session. If you need to get up or go to the bathroom, let me know. I will be in a trance but can always be interrupted if you have any needs like water or tissues.

  • 19. Are you a psychic?

While shamanic energy medicine involves elements of psychic abilities, it is not the same as a psychic reading. I connect with ancestors, past loved ones, and spiritual guides during the session, but the focus is on healing and balancing your energy rather than providing a traditional psychic reading.

  • 20. What if I'm religious? Will my faith be respected?

All faith systems are welcome in my sessions. I gladly incorporate your belief systems, deities, and figures of ascended masters into the practice. Whether you work with a specific saint, guru, or any other spiritual figure, I welcome that energy into our sessions. I believe all these tools are different versions of the same practices taught in major religions, each of which originally had shamanistic roots.

  • 21. Is this witchcraft or voodoo?

No, my practice is not witchcraft or voodoo. I work solely with benevolent, positive energy, focusing on what is for the highest good of my clients and all involved. My work is more akin to alchemy, involving a transformative process that aims to benefit your overall well-being

  • 22. What is a soul retrieval?

Soul retrieval is a shamanic practice that involves recovering parts of a person's soul that may have been lost due to trauma or significant life events.
