Talulah Rain Reardon born on Sunday November 17th at 10:37 am, weighing in at 7lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long ⛈️💓 As soon as labor quickly began in full force, it became clear we needed to birth in the hospital, a call we made with the help of our midwife Rachel of @gaiamidwives Our phenomenal doula @moonandsundoula met us there and with the support of my husband @babypattt , we embarked on one of the most powerful experiences of my life. I didn’t get all the bells and whistles of what I’d planned and studied years for, though I got to birth vaginally which was my number one goal. All the years of study paid off just not in the way I’d ever have expected! The phrase “You get the birth you need, not the birth you want” comes to mind, in the same way our most powerful teachers can be. Unexpected, more beautiful than you could have planned, and being forced to face the deepest wells of our inner strength to move through it. Absolutely humbled and proud of me and my baby girl 🦋 💓🌊🙏

Still processing the profound experience of spending three days in Yonkers at @birthfromtheearth with an extraordinary circle of women, guided by elder midwife @sistermorningstar . We sang, wept, shared stories of birth, loss, and self-sovereignty—each woman standing with poise and dignity, honoring the wisdom within us all. With my mother by my side, we learned and listened, connecting in Sister Morningstar’s sacred ‘elephant circle’ of maidens, mothers, and crones. One of the most moving moments was the blessing ceremony village prenatal, where the women encircled us, sang, and whispered blessings to our babies, adorning our bellies with symbols of love and strength. My kinesiology tape even became a beautiful butterfly! These moments filled me with deep gratitude and prepared me to enter this birth portal at 38 weeks, embracing the liminal space that bridges life and death.
